What we know about you, in full.
What we collect
On the client: nothing that identifies you. Wisp does not require an account, an email, a phone number, or any personal information to function. Your key is the only identifier the app needs, and it is meaningful only to your reseller and to our key-verification service.
For the connection itself, we operate routing infrastructure. We do not maintain logs of the destinations you visit, the contents of your traffic, or persistent records that link your activity to your key. Short-lived operational counters (bytes transferred, current active sessions per server) exist for capacity planning and expire within minutes.
What we do not collect
- Browsing history, DNS queries, or destination addresses.
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints.
- Crash reports or diagnostic telemetry — there is no SDK to send them.
- Analytics events of any kind, on the app or on this site.
Third parties
None. There are no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no tag managers, no embedded widgets. The site you are reading is served as static files. The app you may have installed talks only to Wisp servers and to Apple's standard system services.
Data retention
Your key and its activation state are retained for as long as the key is valid, plus a short grace period after expiry for support purposes. Operational counters expire within minutes. Aggregate, non-identifying capacity metrics may be retained indefinitely.
Your reseller
We do not control what information your reseller holds about you. If you want to know how your reseller stores or handles your key purchase, that conversation belongs with them.
